For example, Stapleton International Airport (now Denver IA) was edinburgh airport in the movie "Die Hard 2" with Bruce Willis. Up until recently, I had no idea that this hotel inside movie "Dumb and Dumber" been the Stanley Hotel, that has been also the inspiration and setting for Stephen King's popular book and movie, "The Shining".
Along with giving users a chance to see their town in a very whole new way, you can also buy movies over the app, plus you are able to send in your own photo coming from a famous locale in your neighborhood.
The interface for Spott is not hard to manuever around - you can choose movies or shows by title, location, or movies that are near you. High point though is the fact that I learned elements of Casablanca were filmed inside the nearby capital of scotland - Flagstaff, it's nice to determine that a classic monochrome film is listed.
There is also downsides, for example actor listings, that are meh at best, however, that's where the Spotters thing will come in. Too bad this app didn't turn out before I moved.
As a show and TV fan who goes wrong with love trivia, this is certainly a pretty good app to have should you've got an Android phone. Definitely the highlight of the app is to view a wide variety of locations of film scenes, though I think many people will be interested in where their hometown or current town factors in a variety of movies and shows.
A disappointment is some areas miss, which is often annoying for users who know a specific movie or show was filmed of their neck in the woods. But to counter this, users can supply images and upload the crooks to Spott. This is actually an incredible social interaction that gets fans involved while they proudly show off their cities and states.
I think a major let down may be the fact that this app isn't free; with simply a small amount of information, this ought to be a free app that gets upgraded to cover more expenses (like the ability to buy and download movies).
