"Storyboard" editing mode really helps to simplify the entire process of adding video clips and pictures in your movie through the "Imported Media" window.

Click and drag your images or movie clips on the Storyboard frames. Then click the arrow beside "Storyboard" and select "Timeline" through the drop-down menu. Select each picture or movie segment and drag the edges towards the left or right until they're the best length. Under "Edit," click "Transitions." Return to "Storyboard" mode and drag the actual required transition towards the space involving the movie clips. Click "Effects" and drag the effect you want to each section inside the storyboard. The star will appear in the lower left hand corner of the segment showing that an effect may be applied.

Return to "Timeline" mode and after that click and drag your audio track for the timeline. Make any adjustments you feel are necessary to edit the playback quality to match the music activity. Select "Tools" and "Narrate timeline" if you need to add a narrative track for your movie. Plug in a directional microphone that works with your computer and click on "Start Narration." Watch the "Input level" to make sure that your computer is getting adequate sound levels. Keep in mind that you'll need to merge your music track with all the narrative track by dragging one on the other if you wish to use both as well in your movie.

Click "Titles and Credits" to add titles to the beginning of one's movie or position them before or on selected clips, or to add credits on the end of your movie. Preview your movie by scrolling back towards the beginning with the moview and pressing the play button inside the preview window. Select "Publish Movie" when you are happy with all the preview. Select the place where you need to publish your movie, then click "Next." Select a name for the movie, decide on a location and then click "Next." "Best quality for my computer" is the best bet if you're publishing the movie in your hard drive.
